Packed and Ready...ALMOST!

Throughout January and February families and friends from Eastern Hills Christian Academy and Eastern Hills Baptist Church have been helping us collect items to donate on our missions trip to Honduras. We were able to collect pencils, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, spiral notebooks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, dental floss, and various over-the-counter medicines. We also received monetary donations to help with the cost of taking extra suitcases with us.

Last Friday we set up an assembly line for 5th-8th grade students to help assist us in making goodie bags to distribute to the Honduran children who will be attending the Vacation Bible School we will be facilitating on our trip. One of our fellow teachers prayed over our donations and for each child that would be receiving one of the goodie bags.

The goodie bags look like the one below and includes a spiral notebook, pencils, pens, colored pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and soap.

On Saturday, we were able to fit all 75 of our goodie bags, and various other supplies and donations into all five of these suitcases! Now all we need to do is get them to Honduras!! Thank you so much to all of the friends and families that donated money to help make taking these donations possible!
