Today we installed 6 water filters for families that live up the mountain from El Ayudante. To get to our destination, we stood in the back of trucks (this stunt was performed by trained professionals and should not be attempted at home!!) and rode up the mountain to reach the people in need of water filters. We divided up into two groups. Each group had a team leader from El Ayudante and an interpreter to help us communicate with the families. Two people at each house would visit with the families while the other four would begin working on the water filter's layers.

| This was the first house Group 1 installed a water filter for. It was a one room house that a single mom with five children lived in. There was no electricity, running water, or latrine in their home. |

| This is Group 1 at the second house they installed the water filter at. Their team leader from El Ayudante is taking the selfie in the corner. |
 |
| One of the steps for installing the water filters was to "wash" the sand and rocks that would provide a natural filtration for the water filter. |

| Last step--putting in the diffuser! |

| Group 2 installed a water filter at this man's house. He owns a coffee farm and was currently in the process of drying out the coffee beans when we were there. |

| These girls were excited to help Group 2 wash the sand and rocks at the second house they installed water filters at. |
 |
| They loved posing for pictures and giggled delightedly when we showed them the pictures they were in. |
 |
| We finished our day with a fabulous picnic lunch with the most amazing view from the top of the mountain. |
Wonderful photos, thanks for the "window" into what you are doing there. What an amazing experience!
